Series 'Tributes'
My master told me that a blackbird,
Tudus merula, came to visit him daily in the garden of his workshop, and every
morning it gave him some beautiful recitals ...
And with “crooked” face, he continued
... ‘and in the afternoons it told me off so that I would return to María del
Pilar’ (his wife).
He finished, a little sad ... ‘it has not come for a long time ...’
The leaves in the work are a copy of
some that I collected from the large magnolia tree in the courtyard of the
Adolfo Lozano Sidro Museum, in Priego de Córdoba, where I took lessons from the
teacher, Venancio Blanco.
