Un amigo observador de
aves me contó que el águila más africana de los que viven en España es la
Culebrera. Esta ave parte desde el centro del continente del sur atravesando el
gran desierto del Sahara. Luego tiene que cruzar el estrecho de Gibraltar.
Cuando está cerca de la costa de nuestro país, ya exhausto después de todo el
viaje, es acosado por las gaviotas...
Algunas águilas no son
capaces de soportar la pelea y mueren ahogadas...

A birdwatcher friend told me that the most African eagle that lives in
Spain is the Short-toed eagle. This bird leaves the center of the southern
continent through the great Sahara desert. Then it crosses the Strait of
Gibraltar. When it is near the coast of our country, exhausted from the trip,
suffers the harassment of seagulls...
